We spent 3 days in Siem Reap in a great hotel visiting the Ankor site which was an amazing experience. We then boarded the Emerald Harmony for a 7 night cruise which only had 29 passengers out of a possible 84 due to the fact nobody from the USA or Canada could get to Siem Rep due to travel restrictions. The Harmony was a great ship with very helpful and friendly staff and crew. Our introduction to Vietnam was interesting and educational with our tour to the Cu Chi’s tunnels and a visit to the city of Saigon followed the next day to transfer to our ship. Everything about this cruise was excellent.

The slide down window turned our stateroom into our private balcony where we could enjoy life on the Mekong River as we sailed along. Chose this cruise as we liked the look of Emerald Cruises, and the new Harmony ship, when investigating possible intineraries for a trip to Vietnam and Cambodia. The whole trip met and in many ways exceeded our expectations. A beautiful immaculate ship, big enough to be well equipped and spacious and not too crowded and impersonal. Plenty of space to chill out and relax. Beautiful riverboat with lovely staff and an excellent itinerary. Southeast Asia is a culturally rich destination.

The excursions were well selected to give us a very good encounter with the people in the small villages along the Mekong River, and to meet with them to learn about their daily lives. I chose Emerald as i always wanted to visit Portugal and heard great things about Emerald Waterways. The ship was beautiful, the staff was incredible and the cruise was sensational. The room was amazing and the food was great, I loved the excursions. We met the nicest people on board as well. We chose this cruise because it was what we could afford. But we got so much more than what we paid for. The cruise director Patricia looked out for all of us, making sure whatever we needed was taken care of.

Selected this river because it was on our bucket list. We chose Emerald Waterways because of the cities, rooms, dining, and price. We had an amazing cruise and a fabulous time. The dining was pretty darn good. Breakfast buffet and made to order – you decide. Wow, Five star ship with a five star crew.

This was our first European river cruise and I am so glad we chose Emerald. From the moment we stepped on board to the fond farewell, we were constantly amazed and delighted at the thoughtfulness and wonderful service provided by the staff. Everywhere is spotless, food is fabulous and all public areas are welcoming with plenty of comfy seating. This was chosen as it was a special offer. What an incredible choice, the cabin was very good even though it was the cheapest available, the cabin was always clean. The food was very good, the buffets had a wide choice of food available and the evening menus always had a variety that could satisfy anybody.

We were a party of eight and wanted to try a river cruse to celebrate our various milestone birthdays as well as anniversaries. Starting with the welcome on board as well the attentiveness of all the staff who worked well as a team. The catering was very good with a wide selection of hot and cold foods. Get expert advice, insider tips and more. By proceeding, you agree to Cruise Critic’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Use. We chose the Windstar Windsurf itinerary to celebrate my husband’s 55th Birthday and we are so glad we did! It was a very nice change to sail on such a small ship as we enjoyed the beautiful views of the gorgeous islands and beautiful yachts surrounding us.

The cruise staff were truly amazing people that went out of their way to make our cruise a memorable experience. This was our second Windstar cruise in less than 4 months after having done a 14-day BTB Caribbean cruise with some friends on Star Legend in November. This cruise was thrust upon us. We had booked a mid-Feb cruise on the stretched Star Breeze from BCN to MIA but construction delays cancelled that a few days before Christmas. Since we were within 60 days of sailing, and Windstar had all my vacation money, switching to another line was not possible. So I scrambled and came up with this cruise. Sis is allergic to mold, fragrance and chemicals and our diet requires No salt: Windstar met and exceeded our highest hopes! The snorkel gear was great so in most ports we walked, took a water taxi or regular taxi to a beach, all beautiful!

We booked an excursion with Joy’s tours Saint Lucia, an amazing boat ride to snorkel at the Pitons. Also stopped at Anse Chastenet, famous beach. We were looking for a small ship and Wind Star seemed the best choice. We don’t care for the mega ships. Star Pride cabins are suites nearly 400 as ft with living area, walk in closet, bathtub mini bar. Entertainment is live music and port talks, a few receptions. Long days in port with easy on and off as there are only 200 passengers. We have been on many Windstar Cruises and I have written many reviews.
