I thought it would have been similar to other mid-length coats where the zipper would only go as far as the waist to allow for movement. A bit of an odd design decision, but I think I understand why the decision was made. So overall I love this coat! If I would suggest anything to future clients it would be to be as specific as possible. In my case none of the examples I gave showed ribbing on the arms going all the way to the end of the wrist, but because I didn’t specify what I was looking for they took it upon themselves to make the decision without consulting me. So far the best leather jacket I have ever owned!

To measure my own body was quite easy with the help of my wife, although I would recommend wearing clothes in the process as the jacket is slightly too tight. Ordered a custom designed jacket made with cowhide and a wool liner. Love the jacket wool liner makes it nice for the cold winter in the north east part of the United states. Fit was nice , like a glove. The fit was good except for the collar, which is too small and why I wanted this tailored in the first place. Otherwise, it’s a good jacket and fits well everywhere else. From several pix, they copied a style to the T.

Actually, I think I don’t need to wear a sweater because the lining is warm enough to wear here in Vancouver. The custom design matches all the details and description that I provided. I didn’t specify that the zipper should match the design because I didn’t thought of adding that. All of my specifications were met and the jacket fits perfectly. I was only wearing a T-shirt when the measurements were taken. If you are going to wear clothing under the jacket, be sure to take all measurement while wearing the clothing.
