Franklin decides to take advantage of the situation for ratings by carrying on with the show instead of shutting it down. Franklin later scolds Arthur for what he did, driving Joker who is already insane to begin a rant about how he and society have wronged him. As he is being driven through the streets, the Clowns are out in full force, rioting, destroying property, burning cars, and killing people, as Arthur smiles, and is cheered and pointed at by the rioters. Suddenly, two clowns in an ambulance ram into the side of the car, knocking Arthur out and killing the officer. They realize who he is, and gently and slowly bring him out of the broken window of the car, placing him on the hood.
