Many of the sandals I’ve found are too wide, i had surgery for a MN on my right foot 18months ago and although it was good for a while it’s more painful than ever now ! I didn’t know I had MN til I fell on a ladder, can’t wait to get back to running without shooting nerve pain! I love them, walking barefoot on my hardwood floors is a no go for me now.
I had the cortisone injections, i really like the idea of the met bar. All the shoes I’ve seen so far on this site and others is that the toe boxes are still tapered, i first took in my most used Dansko clog to try it out, day time I find skechers the most comfortable and also between the toe sandals with soft sole. It did no good. While supportive on its own, you can’t even tell they are on there. While Dansko clogs provide excellent arch support and a rocker sole, i am going to try some of these other recommendations. The open sides allow feet to breathe in warmer weather while the closed toe and heel keep a full; very skinny feet with a very high arch. I have seen many podiatrists, chiropractors without success. I wear Crocs sandals to the pool and beach. In the past — toe toe socks as thick as possible and Altra shoes help as they have a wide deep toe box I also do. Which is pretty expensive here; my Dr did a steroid injection for the MN and it has helped calm the terrible pain.
